Community engagement

At our network, we believe that true progress begins with community. By actively engaging patients, their families, trainees, medical students, residents, scientists-in-training, clinicians, and community members, we create a shared space where everyone contributes to advancing cardiovascular and vascular health.

These strong, inclusive interactions enhance collaboration, support knowledge translation, and build meaningful relationships that strengthen every aspect of our work. Together, we foster a vibrant exchange of ideas, perspectives, and expertise that drives innovation and empowers each of us to make a difference.

Join us in this mission to strengthen our community and amplify our collective impact!

The PULSE initiative

PULSE is a student-driven initiative that unites cardiovascular research, medical education, and public health. Led by residents in cardiology, cardiac surgery, and internal medicine, together with medical students and trainees from diverse disciplines, PULSE aims to make cardiology more inclusive, empowering, and accessible for learners and underserved communities alike.

Through hands-on workshops, community outreach, and student-led projects, we promote cardiovascular awareness, prevention, and engagement. Our activities include free CPR courses taught by certified members, heart-healthy nutrition resources, and community events designed to support health education.

We also host an interactive website featuring easy-to-understand information for the public and clinical cases for medical students, ensuring that tools for cardiovascular health are available to anyone, anywhere.
